Why flash drive capacity keeps increasing (and why small drives are rarely sold today)

TL;DRManufacturers stopped making small flash drives because larger ones cost nearly the same.
Why it matters: Storage economics shifted; capacity became cheap enough that retailers stock only high-capacity drives.
While smaller drives can certainly still be found, there's a good reason why you don't often find them on retailers' shelves.
