Google says "magic state cultivation" works in practice on its Willow
Google says "magic state cultivation" works in practice on its Willow quantum processor, calling it a breakthrough that reduces errors by about 40x
TL;DRGoogle's Willow quantum chip uses a new technique to cut errors by 40 times.
Why it matters: Lower error rates are essential for quantum computers to solve real problems reliably.
